Our Courage & Codes program introduces young men to 13 powerful, values-based codes—each one a guiding principle for how to show up in the world with strength, integrity, and kindness. These codes offer a clear and meaningful pathway for boys to follow as they grow into great men—men who understand their emotions, treat others with respect, and take pride in living with purpose and heart.

Empowering young men to honor their feelings, develop self-awareness, and navigate emotions in a healthy way-leading to safer communities, stronger friendships, and better relationships.
Our Boys Program, rolling out in term 2, 2025 will focus on boys in grades 4-6 learning new codes (values) to help steer them through teenage years and into adulthood. Courage & Codes is here to reshape outdated Aussie norms-moving beyond the old ideals of toughness, drinking, and tearing mates down.

Redefining Mateship
In Australia, mateship is a deeply valued part of our culture—but for too long, it’s been linked to silence, bravado, and unhealthy competition. At Courage & Codes, we believe it’s time for a change.
Our workshops help young men explore what it truly means to be a good mate: someone who supports, includes, and uplifts others. We teach boys how to call out harmful behaviour with respect, how to build each other up instead of tearing each other down, and how to create real connection in their friendships.
When this shift happens within the schoolyard, it ripples outward—creating safer, stronger, more connected school communities where boys feel connected to themselves and each other.

Guiding how young men show up with purpose and respect.
In our program, Codes are more than words—they’re choices. Each Code represents a value that helps young men grow into strong, respectful, and grounded leaders in their own lives and communities.
The Codes guide how we treat ourselves and others. They remind us to speak honestly, stand tall in who we are, take responsibility for our actions, and create calm instead of chaos. They help us become the kind of men who listen, lead with care, and walk through life with courage and integrity.
Because when we live by our Codes, we become part of something bigger—young men building each other up, and making the world better with how we show up every day.
At the end of the program, each school is gifted a Code Set—a meaningful resource to carry the learnings forward. These Codes can be revisited in class, in conversations, or in quiet moments—reminders of the powerful choices these young men are capable of making.
That’s the impact.
